Welcome to Central & Eastern Europe’s Premier Organization for IB Scholars

The Academy of International Business Central and Eastern Europe Chapter (AIB-CEE) is one of 13 regional chapters, worldwide, of the Academy of International Business. AIB-CEE is one of AIB’s youngest chapters—it was established during the 2013 AIB Annual Meeting in Istanbul, Turkey. Our current chapter board is composed of scholars from six different countries throughout our region.

Similar to our flagship organization, the AIB-CEE aims to support the scholarly, learning, and networking interests of academics and practitioners working in international business. The AIB-CEE region consists of  19 countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Kosovo, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine.

Among other activities, the AIB-CEE hosts an annual conference aimed at advancing research and education in international business. The AIB-CEE Chapter Conference provides a forum for the latest ideas in international business to a diverse audience. The conference has a strong developmental focus, and provides participants with a supportive and collegial platform to discuss and develop ideas, and to mentor and help authors improve scholarly articles with a view to publication.
